I have a 91 RS with a 305 tbi. Everytime the engine is cold and it is started it shoots out blueish smoke from the exhaust. It does burn oil however. Also when left idling for a period of 5 mins or longer, then hitting the gas also causes it to smoke a ridiculous amount and it is quite embarrassing. What would cause this most likely. Also when driving in town the car gets very hot, even to the point it is almost touching the red on the temp gauge. Then there is a huge loss in power and it smokes even more. Please let me know what could be wrong with my car. I dont know much of anything about cars, sorry. I just need to know what could be wrong before taking it somewhere and wasting time and money.
