Hose Fitting ?'s

Can someone tell me if I should use RTV on the heaterhose fitting that bolts to the water pump. If not should there be a piece of tape or just go w/out any gasket material.

if you're talking about the hose barb the best thing would be teflon pipe sealer or permetex #3 i think, in a can with a brush, or teflon tape.

BR,

Teflon tape, paste, or Loctite PST sealant will all work satisfactorily.

Don't mess with that crappy tape. Go to a GM dealer and get Liquid Pipe Sealant. Its the best thing you can get for threaded applications that have to seal.
