ram air or cold air induction

ok guys i know i post a lot of probably to u stupid stuff but i am new to the performance of gm. i have a 1988 firebird formula 250 5.7 tpi. i would like to make my own cold air induction or ram air. is this possible and if so please let me know how and if also possible could i get some plans on how to do it thanks. and pics would be great too.

Formula 250 eh? Is that the famed Inline 6 powered Formula? j/k

Cold air is a lot easier to make than ram air. Your stock MAF TPI airbox makes it hard to do any kind of cold air induction. You can cut windows in the airbox to allow additional air flow, which is something a lot of people do. On my car, since there is no MAF sensor I did the 'Ron Mullins Cold Air Induction' in Tech Central, which routes 4" dryer ducting under the car and right into the airbox.
