Whould removing my belt before racing help any?

Someone once told me that, if I was to remove my belt (serpentine) right before I ran the 1/4 mile, it would give me a noticable differance in time and power, is that true?

It would give me power because my power stering would be off, ac off, smog pump, ect.... Right? Or is this a waste of time?

If it did give me better ET's, how much are we talking 3/10ths?

I'd wanna keep that water flowing in there while my engine screams in the 5-6K RPM Range. I've heard of people doing it, but my advice would be not to risk it. Is it worth your engine for 1-2 tenths MAYBE ? nah...

Yea, its not worth what could happen to your car without it. You might see .3 but if your charging system is weak or you car likes to run on the hot side, you could be causing more problems than its worth
