Question about timing (and possible fried injectors)
Well I was working on the replacing intake manifold gaskets and polishing stuff for a week, and when we started putting everything back together we put the distributor in improperly (were having troubles with it)... anyhow, after some tinkering we got the car running but our stupid timing gun was busted and the car wasn't running its greatest... we drove the car around the block a couples of times each time we adjusted the cap/rotor trying to get the timing right just by feel...
Anyhow, I drove the car for 5 minutes to my house (it was at my friend's house)... parked it, and that's it.
my buddy came over 2 days later and read the timing with a good timing gun, and it read 49 degrees ADVANCED! aiee! Anyhow, we fixed the cap/rotor and set it to 6 degrees (which is what it's suppose to be at).
Now 1 day later, i went for an oil change and lubed up my shift fork on my T5, and right after the oil change for some reason my car is shaking pretty badly like vibrating at an idle. the rpms don't go up and down, they're constant. it's just the engine is shaking like crazy... i was driving a girl somewhere the other day and she said sitting in the passenger chair was like a vibrator, lol.
anyhow, any ideas?

Ignition advance up to 30° isn't uncommon when the ESC is connected and active. To set the base timing, you need to bypass the EST circuit by disconnecting the EST Bypass connector at the firewall. Chances are that your initial timing is a bit too advanced, and the EST is adding timing to the measured total of 49°.

no no no, we measured it with the ESC disconnected.
my timing was 49 degrees advanced with it disconnected!
like i said, we put the distributor in on the wrong tooth... another buddy from the board came over and fixed it, a little mickey mouse i guess, but we ended up turning the cap to compensate...
so now my #1 is way off, but everything runs good and the timing is now at 6 with the esc disconnected.
but i'm curious as to whether or not that time i had the timing at 49 would have screwed up my injectors...

It is remotely possible that the firing of the plugs while the intake valve was still slightly open may have done some damage to the injector tips, protective caps, or even the pintle tip. However, since most cam profiles close the intake valves at a point near 80° BTDC, the cam timing would have to be retarded by at least 30° for that to even be a possibility. If your cam is installed "straight-up" or within 10° either way, that scenario wouldn't even be possible.
It's far more likely you have an ignition system problem, or injector damage/clogging from some other source.
