help needed fast, wont start

I changed my thermostat today. When I was doiung it, I disconnected the wire to the alternator that attaches with a clip. After I finished putting in the thermostat i forgot to put it back in when I tried to start the car. It tried to start and died immediately. I put it back in, and it wont start now.

Also, I cant read codes now. I dont know what to do, and I have to go to work in 15 minutes.

Any ideas? I went though all the ecm and crank circuit fuses in the fuse box and they were fine. Are there fuses around the block I should check?

Thanks,

Adam

By the way, the starter tries to start the motor and it turns it over and over and over, i just dont get any ignition.

So the starter is fine.

Is the battery dead? Try jumping it if so.

if the battery was dead the car wouldn't even try to crank....it'd just be a fast clicking sound, but wouldn't try to turn over at all

What year/engine do you have (there were differences)?

Try squirting some gas down the Throttle body and turn it over. I have the same problem once in a while and am sick of it but this is a temporary solution to a on going problem. Mine fires up instantly this way but will just keep turning over otherwise. Mine is a 1989 GTA L98 TPI. Why did they eliminate the cold start injector in 1988?
