why does my slave cylinder keep breaking?

my clutch went out yesterday. i assumed it was the slave cylinder. i was right that the slave cylinder was busted through at the end, but when i replaced the slave it broke through again. i put the slave in, bleed the system, and when i pushed the pedal there was alot of resistance and it snapped through the end of the slave again. what the #*@$ is going on? what is broken that is causing the slave to break?

do you think that it is possible to have too much pressure in the cylinder by tightening the bleed screw too tight?

I've gone though a couple What does it is the cylinder overextending, or pushing the clutch pedal down with the lave cyl just hanging, not bolted up. If it's blowing out while in place, try making a new, longer pushrod out of a 1/2" round steel bar.
