Painless wiring 90-92 TPI harness question

I plan on buying this Painless wiring harness to replace the hacked up one that resides in my engine bay. Is this harness identical to the one already on the car ? Or is it designed for aftermarket applications ? Anybody use one in their FBody ? Thanx

No, it’s not the same as the one you have already. I did a ton of research before I got my harness. I found that the painless one does not include everything the stock one does. I think it leaves out AC and all the emissions equipment, but I am not sure. Your best bet is to search the classifieds on this board and other camaro boards, and ebay for another harness.

Off the top of my head, JR got it. IIRC the painless harness will not have the AIR and AC stuff in it. Perhaps a few other tidbits of stock stuff as well might be missing, but i'm sure somone who's used one can chime in. But i am sure it is not a simple R&R swap if you want to make it like stock.

Yeah I'm not. I just want the HSR to work properly when I put it on. I don't have the A/C hooked up and the air equipment... well that was history when I bought the car. So maybe it's not all that bad ?

Ive used both styles of painless type harnesses in my f-bodies, they are very easy to wire up, and yes you can order them as emmisions harnesses, I custom ordered a speed density harness from a place in texas(can't remember the name of the company) anyways they built the harness the way I wanted it, based on where I needed certain plugs, one problem I found with them is the bulk head connector is not on the leaving that big square hole where the wires come through the passenger side, all wires are marked for easy installation. I have both harnesses for sale

Just on a side note...if anyone here ever buys the painless harness for a third gen, do yourself a favor and get the long extended version (4 or 6 feet I think). I wasn't able to mount my ECM in the stock position with the standard length.
