Too hot in car
Why is it that every time I go to drive my car, it starts getting hot in there after about 10-15 minutes after driving? My heater is off and still gets hot in there.

Warrior,
The '86 models did not have a hot water control valve for the heater core, so hot coolant flows through the core at all times. While this is great for keeping the core from clogging or rotting out prematurely, it can admit hot air into the passenger compartment if the air control dampers in the HVAC system are not adjusted properly. The Bowden cable that controls the air temperature door position can slip, stretch, and bend over time, requiring adjustment to keep the door fully closed in the COOL position.

You can find the temperature door if you remove your passenger side hush panel- the black panel above the passenger's feet. You'll see the cable and lever. Make sure nothing's snapped, and that the door is all the way to "cold".
Asides from that, make sure the weatherstrip at the back of your hood, against the cowl, is in good shape. If the temp door is at "cold", the hood's the only place you can get hot air from.

Does it have anything to maybe do with the little black chin spoiler that mounts underneath the radiator. My car doesn't have that spoiler and its critical for cooling isn't? The car doesnt have any grills so all the air has to be collected and sent up through the radiator by that spoiler.
If you are missing the lower air deflector set, the engine will tend to run hotter. However, non of that heat should enter tehpassenger compartment unless the sir door is leaking, or the cowl air seal is missing or damaged (Good call, Tom!).
Regardless, I'd suggest repairing or replacing the air deflector before the real heat of summer arrives.
