"87 GTA" to buy or not to buy....
I know where I can get a 87 GTA with a rebuilt 5.7 engine with 5000 miles and with the body having 110000. Its black, no T-tops, black cloth.
Bad stuff: The body has a 2 inch stress crack above the windows on the passenger side. It needs a drivers fender (big dent) and the passenger fender is bowed alittle to the point where it is higher than the door so it don't line up right if you look along side the car, I have no idea how that happened. Also the spoiler is cracked and the roof has 7 or 8 little dents. Lastly the check engine light comes on after hard driving.
Good stuff: Paint is really good with almost no rust, just a very small bubble over the rear quater. Other than that its pretty solid. Brand new tires and bushings.
He wants $3500, want to you GTA guys think? Is it worth the trouble of fixing. Thanks for any input.

He is dreaming, I would not take that car if he set it in my drive way especialy with the cark on the roof at that point I would have walked away, besides it sounds like it has been totaled, you can get a nice TA for that kind of money why buy a peice of ****? I just looked at a one owner TA like new perfect shape with only 67,000 miles, TTOP the works and it was only 3500.

I believe he is asking way to much for the car. I would think 1500 max. Last year I bought a mint 1987 GTA with 82,000 miles with a 5.7 and all options. I paided 3500 for that car.

No way would I buy that. I bought a mint 89 GTA fully loaded, glossy white paint. Brand new $300 dollar tires all around. doesnt burn or leak a single drop of oil. clean clean clean car...all original, no mods what-so-ever. 70k miles on the car.. $5500 here in california.
