I had a cop question me on that once. Car was half primer, half blue, with some red. He asked me why the registration said "blue". (duh) Then again, in that town, I was always singled out for BS stops.

that may be, but like Tom, i also live in NJ, and have been pulled over before for BS stops, so i would like to avoid all chances of that happening again, because its embarrassing and time consuming
Around here all you have to do is phone/go into the vehicle registration place and they change it in their computers on the spot.
Cops do make a big deal if the registration says another color. I've had some personal experiences with that.

NJ, you need to change your title and your registration, Just go to DMV, tell the help desk you changed colors and they will give you forms, wait 5hrs
, and your car will now be legal... also check your insurance card, when I had Allstate they had color on it, Liberty Mutual doesnt...
btw, where in jersey are you? If ya dont mind me asking.
