Best Fluid for a T-5

I have a 86 With a T-5 thats been sitting for a while I want to change the fluid. Whats the best fluid to use? How about synthetic?

If you abuse it, definitely Red Line MTL. I've had it in my T-5 for 100k+ and it helped a lot. ATF is just tooooo thin.

This is what I have been told. If you road race then use MTL like Redline or GM's synthetic MTL. If you drag race then use ATF. I recommend a good synthetic like Amsoil or Redline.
