code 43.. Electronic spark control... how do u fix??

this code keeps popping up. and when it does my care starts to go higher in temp.. i usually run 140-150 but when the code goes on i an around 220. then my car feels like tis going no where fast.. can anyone help?

Sounds like a bad knock sensor, I *think* detonation can raise temps..
