dealer wants 200. for fuel sender HELP!!!!

Local dealer wants over 200.00 for new fuel gauge sending unit for 88 iroc anyone have any other source besides junkyard

Engine: 4.0L
Transmission: 5 speed
Axle/Gears: 8.8 rear, 4.56 gears, 4:1 transfer
F-body fuel senders do not go bad. They might get "dirty" and may need to get cleaned with an eraser but you must take it out to clean it. All it is is a rheostat.

If you have a fuel gauge problem I would check the wiring first (free) and then get a new (junk yard) gauge.
