I heard somewhere that there where, Is this true? if so where? I also heard there is a 6 cyl and a 8 cyl setting? would it run if it was set to the 6 cyl side? thanks alot joe.

V8 setting for V8. V6 setting for V6. A V8 won't run in V6 setting. The only other thing you can do with a 6AL is the rev limit chip. There's lots of other MSD stuff that you can plug into that box. 2 steps, adjustable timing controls, boost retards etc.
