stroker question....

do you have to use chamfered bearings with the stroker cranks????

I had them on my 383 with a GM 400 cast crank. I dont know if is has to have them or not. I always let my machine shop figure that stuff out.

Chamfered bearing are used with forged cranks. The forged cranks have a slight radious at the sides of the rod journals that require the bearing to be chamfered for clearance.
