piston rings !!&**#%&^!%

i just got my pistons in today and i put the rings on them and i broke one top ring, do i have to buy a new complete set of rings?

Go to your local machine shop. You should be able to just get a set for one piston. (3 rings)

for less than 10 dollars you can buy a "special tool" to expand piston rings with. i bet you don't have one. i've used same one for 25 years or more and never broke the first ring.
