Not sure if this is the right board to be posting on or not but anwyays... Probably like a year ago I read a post on here about some guys that were trying to install an LS1 gas tank into their thirdgens. There was a fair bit of work but it seemed that quite a bit of guys were planning on it. Seeing that I don't have a thirdgen anymore I dont check the boards as much however I still got a wack of parts im working on for a new engine

My question is, what ever happened to this idea??? Did anyone ever successfully get one installed and working?? If so, any pics???

what would be the advantage in doing so? Does the LS1 tank have baffles?

 

The LS1 tanks are made out of plastic. Someone over on z28.com said that they were 18lbs lighter then the LT1 tanks, but there are some differences between the two and probably more for a thirdgen.
