fuel pump gone bad?

Today, I was leaving the store. Went to start my Z and it was hardly running? I had to limp it home! For the past 2 weeks, its' been running rough in the mornings but then clears up and runs fine? I think my fuel pump may have gone bad, what kind of fuel psi should it be runing when the engine is off and the key in on the ON position? Right now, i have nothing. I do have an aux. fuel pump that activates only during boost when i have my charger on. Now, i don't have the charger on. I grounded the aux. fuel pump and the car barley ran! IT has 80psi of fuel pressure with that unit runing, but the car runs like crap? Any suggestions?

Took me 2 days the first time. I didnt work to hard and took breaks. But I had no clue.

Im about to do it again to put in a 255lph holley intake. I wish my block had a place for a mechanical pump. If so Id run one. I have the fuel tank and lines for a mechanical pump in the 84 to. Wish my 93 caprice lo5 had mechanical fuel pump place
