Jeez; you guys are jumpy--ENGINE (TECH) INSIDE
I was trying to reply to my previous post (but it was stopped), about how I sold a guy a junk engine. I was NOT gloating over it, and I do feel bad. I have not, and do not purposefully sell bad parts.
MY QUESTION IS: Will water on "semi-hot" pistons cause the rings to go bad, or wouuld they have been worn out. I had the engine for 500 trouble-free miles, and it was supposed to have been rebuilt. So, I am wondering if I messed up the rings, or if they were probably shot when I bought the engine.
FYI--the engine gulped a little water after the fire, but I didn't think it would matter b/c I drained the engine and everything seemed fine.
