Howling noise

When i accelerate around 70-80 km i hear a loud howling. It stops when i pass 80 or let off the gas. What could cause this?

RB83 is correct. Im sure hes on the money. If it howls its your gears. Take it to a shop I'm positive that it is your problem. I installed 3.73's and it was only ONE shim off and it howled like a SOB. Never affected performance cause it was so close just made lots of noise throughout all the gears. But im positive its your rearend.
