i know that the noise coming from my engine is either a rod knock, or i spun a bearing. how do i know which one it is, and is it somewhat ok to drive until i get my 350 in?

Same thing. A spun bearing is the usual cause of a rod knock. Spun bearing = disease, rod knock = symptom.
If you're putting your 350 in later this afternoon, then yes it's OK to drive until you get it in. Past that, I doubt it.

it'll prolly have very little power. the ECM will pull the timing like a mother when it hears the knock. at least that's what mine did.
