Hood scoops on 91 Z

Is it possible to make them functional? If so, does anyone have any diagrams or anything like that about it or has anyone done it before?

I'm not sure about making them Cold-Air-Induction type functional, but you could probably just cut out the recessed area, fabricate some screen to fit in there, and cut 2 holes in your hood and use them as a way to let heat out of the engine bay. I was going to do this with my '87 IROC (had the '91Z hood "scoops", but I ended up selling it (regrettably).
There's probably not a lot of clearance under the hood to turn it into an actual cold air induction setup, what with the TPI plenum being so tall.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Oops....I forgot....If you were going to do this, you'd probably have to cover the engine when you washed the car (don't want to get any water on the TPS) 'cuz the holes would line up right over the engine.
