Edelbrock Heads and Manifold question?
Edelbrock Heads and Manifold question?
I have the Edelbrock 6085 heads and the Edelbrock hi-Flo mainfold on my L98 350. At the time, the Hi-Flo runners from Edelbrock were seriously backordered. I purchased SLP runners instead.
My question is: Am I starving my motor by not using the Edelbrock runners with this setup or will I be OK with the SLP? I also have a 58mm Edelbrock TB on the plenum and the plenum is mildly ported near TB openings.

No, you're fine with the SLP runners. The Edelbrock runners suck even worse than the SLP ones do. If you really want the best runners, check out AS&M.

Do I need to port the SLP runners to the edelbrock manifold or can I leave them alone.
Does porting the runners to the plenum make a large difference in HP?
I might order the wide mouth gaskets from TPIS and port them, but I thought I would ask before I go through all the trouble to port.
