Cold idle speeds

My 92 305 idles kind of high when the temperature is 60% or less out side in the mornings. Starts out at about 1600 and gradualy slow down to a normal 700 or so (in nuetral/it's an auto). I take s a long time to come down. Doesn't get down to "normal" untill the engine is fully warmed up. Is this normal?????????????
I have replace the O2,coolant,incomming air temp sensors and checked the TPS, and cleaned the Idle Air control.
Just does'nt seem right.

Gree,

That is relatively normal for an injected engine. The idle speed should not stay that high for very long, however. After a few seconds it should start dropping, but it may take a couple of minutes to get down to 1,000. As soon as the ECM sees an increase in coolant temperature, the idle should taper off quickly toward "normal".
