Trying to remove Cruise Control... I think... Please help!
Stupid question... the is going to sound very sceintific
I assume the vacuum thingy next to the charcoal cansiter on the front driver's side runs the cruise cable?
I'm am removing cruise control and the vacuum suply for it, supply's the canister (from the bottom) as well. That hose loops around to the passenger side rear of the plenum and looks like it connects to the EGR valve vacuum.
Q1: What happens when the canister does not have vacuum?
Q2: Do I make any sense?

Your observation is basically correct. The vacuum source for the EGR is also used for the EVAP canister purge. The EGR only activates when teh engine is at a part-throttle cruise, which is also the best time to evacuate the EVAP canister. The cruise control servo, however, should have its own vacuum source indpendent of the timed EGR port on the throttle body. The EVAP canister should have a couple vacuum lines connected to it, but only one of those is the purge line to the EGR system vacuum source. The other should be a relatively constant manifold vacuum, and these should also be a vapor line from the fuel tank (obviously).
I hope I understood the question. You can disconnect the cruise servo and simply plug or cap the vacuum line that was connected to it without causing any problems with other components.

Incidentally, there should be a vacuum hose routing decal stuck to the inside of your hood, and it should look something like this:
This is from an '86 TPI, but yours should be somewhat similar.

My only problem now is that my original plenum had 3 vacuum nipples on the pass. rear, 1-MAP, 1-FPR, 1-EGR/Evap. I now have one 3/8" nipple coming out of the rear of the T-Ram plenum. I'm trying to simplify the vacuum as much as I can before finishing. I removed the cruise control due to the fact that I cannot find the correct bracket for the T-Ram.
Am I going to have problems with vacuum pressure trying to run these lines with ony 1 - 3/8" line? I am trying to keep the one that runs the MAP as short as possible so that it gets correct readings.
