which products do you guys think works?

DO you guys know anything about the new higher milage motor oil? does that stuff work? waste of money?

What about additives... I put this really thick blue stuff in my car's oil every oil change but a friend tells me that stuff should be a last ditch effort.

like my trans stop leak.

what about synthetic oil? should you put that stuff in a car like mine that has 120000 miles on her? i heard synthetic is good but if you have a leak it finds it and abuses it and leaks twice as much as normal 10w 30 motor oil?

anyother products you guys think are good or a waste let me know !!

thanx!

Dangit I hate when people put Camaro wheels on a Firebird, your sig pic confuses me, lol. Have to do a double take.

Anywho, I'm not sure about the high-mileage oil, I've just heard many times that it's a waste... just trying to get some more money out of you. I have a feeling it's a false sense of security.

Synthetic is goood. I just started using Mobil 1. Heard a lot of good things about Amsoil as well. I wouldn't even bother with any of the other synthetics unless I saw some unbiased studies and research that showed how good it was. I just know that Mobil1 is tried and true.

I agree that engine additives should be a last ditch effort. I'm pouring junk into my ::cough:: Honda ::cough:: to try to keep it running long enough until I can get another beater....

Here's some of the stuff I used before the TR2 meet. Mostly just appearance stuff like wax, wheel cleaner, and wash. I thought it worked really well considering the shape that my car was in. I also you some engine degreaser (in my garage somewhere) but I can't remember the name of it.

from what i've read on the boards high milage motor oil is just a gimmick.

As far as detailing, get yourself some F113 wax. and using a clay bar if not done before will help a lot as well.

email this guy formula113man@yahoo.com he sells the wax, not available in stores.
