Any distributor guru's out there????

I have a computer advance distributor. I was wondering what the stock intial timing and total advance is? I don't know if all computer controlled distributors got the same timing or what but the computer controlling it is for an 86'Z28 LG4 305. Can these be tuned for performance?

The only way to "tune" your computer controlled distributor for more advance is with a performance chip for your computer. Sad but true.

Would I be better off getting an aftermarket one? Would a stock replacement vacuum advance one work ok? The engine isn't going to go over 6500rpm. Do you know how to tune these? I was told to get a spring kit and use a medium and a light springs. What should my intial timing be? What should my total advance be? The engine is 9.5:1 compression, stock 89' corvette cam, and 89'F-body cast iron heads. My upgrades are listed in my signature I posted below.
