head casting numbers

Car: 1992 camaro rs 97 yoyota camry
Engine: lo3 carbed
Transmission: t 5
head casting numbers

i have done a search... and i need to know if these heads are any good or not to use on a 305 ... the guy is giving them to me so if they are better than lo3 heads i would like to know... they came out of an older van not sure the year it is carbed though. the casting numbers are 3932388 thanks also is there a head chart with casting numbers any where???

Didn't find an exact match, but did see 3986388....68-76...307/350. You sure about the numbers you posted?

The description fits, though. Two words - pure crap.

Two more words - LO3 better.

OK THATS WHAT I THOUGHT BUT I FIGURED I WOULD CHECK ANYWAY... he also has another set of lo3 heads... i could get for free and just for the fun of it could i port them out myself to flow better. also would i lower the ramp that is in the intake side...???

Porting LO3 heads is like spending money on pearls for a pig.

I said they were better than the heads on the van, not that they were good...

Get some LG4/L69 or LB9 heads, do some porting magic on them. Even if you have to spend $50 on the cores, you're better off.

i also said if i get them for free... not pay money for them... and i ported them myself so the only cost would be my time...
