Will 58cc heads kill a 327??

I was wondering if 58cc 305 heads would totally kill a 327 or should I go with 64cc or 76cc heads?
Thanks

The combustion chamber volume affects compression ratio more than it imposes limits to flow.
The 58cc heads wil acceept 2.00/1.58 valves, with a little work. These are just off the largest small block 2.02/1.60 valves available.
Match the chamber volumne to deck height and piston relief to calculate compression ratio and go with the best match.
Some tuners believe better power potential can be achieved with more of the effective combustion chamber in the piston than in the head, e.g. dished pistons and small combustion chambers.

By the time you spent enough money on 305 heads to make them work, you could get a set of World S/R Torquers or Sportsman II's that would work even better out of the box. Get 64 cc chamber units with 2.02/1.60 valves, assuming you have decent intake/cam/exhaust.

Five 7,
The point I was trying to make was that the combustion chamber volume is not a limiting factor in performance.
You are right in relation to the 305 heads. Most aftermarket heads are better.
However, if the 327 loses a point or two in compression, the better flow of the aftrmarket 64cc heads will be wasted.
Corevette aluminum heads are also 58ccs and can be made to flow with any of the aftermarket heads for about the same money.

I spent $460 reconditioning my 305 heads, not counting the 25 hours of porting I also put into them. If I had to do it again, I'd just spend $650 on some WP S/R 305 heads, or some ported Corvette aluminum heads. What compression ratio do you want? Are you carbed or port fuel injected? Shoot for 9.5:1 on iron heads, or 10:1 on aluminum heads, so that you can run 92 octane fuel. You can add a quarter point extra if you run port fuel injection.
