codes 33,34 and 45

can someone help, i know the tps is a little low, but if i put it at 54 or above it will start then turn off, any suggestions

ok, I'm confused because your title and message do not correspond. what does the TPS have to do with MAF codes? I know modifying the TPS pivots can cure some code 33 situations but if you have both, I'd look for a bad MAF. I am unsure what code 45 is off the top of my head. Kyle

Tom,

You have the unusual circumstance where the MAF is actually sensing too much air entering the engine at a given throttle angle. Most of us get a 34 alone and end up replacing the MAF. In your case, I'd replace the TPS and adjust it to 0.54VDC dead-nuts.

I'd also get a replacement PROM for the ECM, since the original PROM delivered from the factory has some programming errors. Check the "TIPS" section at the 3rd° web site for details on the problem and the solution. I'm glad I did...
