Ever used a lifter lifter?

Anybody ever used one of these on a small block Chevy?

Sign me up! That looks positively ingenious! I would use that. I wish I had invented it.

Freakin' geniuses, they are
I've used the other type to remove non-roller lifters...those are great timesavers!

I talked to a guy at Anderson Ford & he said he'd never seen them used on a Chevy, but that if the Chevy lifter retainer setup is like the Ford, it might work. I have never seen either one live & in person, only in pictures, & then not next to each other for comparison, so I don't know. He said on some retrofit-type rollers the lifters can come up too high & dislodge, but they haven't had that problem with the factory stuff. Sure looks like a hassle-reducer.

Looks good if you have aftermarket lifters. Isnt going to work with the GM factory roller setup.

What would be the problem with the factory stuff?
