anyone know what the horsepower rating is on an 1987 L98 350 with aluminum heads. I had it rebuilt the only difference is it was bored 30 over.This motor was ordered for this 1987 transam i understand they normally came with the 5.0 . Do all the L98 have aluminum heads, intake ,and of course the plenum.Also i took the car to the dealership and had a rear axle seal put in and the mechanic said the rear end gears were set up like a round track race car?The transmission is another question it will bark the tires when it shifts at about 45 miles an hour when you get on it but i havent had a shift kit put in it.the car is all original and nothings been changed or done since it was built from the factory.The car has 75,000 miles on it and i have had it since about 27,000 miles 5 years ago.oh and almost forgot it has 2 oil filters on the car as well.I had to rebuild the motor because the bolt that holds on the harmonic balancer broke off in the crank shaft causing the harmonic balancer to spin around and tear the keyway out of the crank and of course i had to replace the crank as well.
