need help with TPS sensor

i had a weird problem i changed my TPS sensor for a new one and heir was nothing wrong with mine but i changed it anyway.the problem is since i changed it i cant get back into spec i tried 2 nw ones one from advanced auto and one fron nappa i couldnteven get them to go any lower than 2.40 volts i now put hold one on and the closest i can get is 0.40 volts but it still idles to high could their be something else causing this? o yeahi reset the pc it didnt help.

the closest i can get is 0.40 volts but it still idles to high...
If you're at 0.40V, all you need to do is adjust it up a bit to 0.54V. Idle RPM is not directly controlled by the TPS voltage. The throttle stop screw position and IAC control the idle RPM.

i know i allready have it up as far as i can the best i can get out of it is 0.40v and the idle does change when you mess with the TPS though.it used to idle perfect before i messed with it so i dont believe its the IAC.
