1.6 roller rocker ?
I want to try a set of full roller rockers on my 82 LG-4, will they work with pressed in rocker studs ? ..... will I feel an improvement, basically I have a bone stock LG-4 with TPI, and edelbrock headers, I'm pretty sure the stock cam is holding me back quite a bit, just kinda got tired of accords beating my trans am down pretty hard.

So is it a LG4 or is it TPI?
I'd be inclined to agree with ede, you won't see a big gain at all. Mostly the engine will run alot smoother from the valve motion being more consistent from one to another, which the stock random rubber rockers don't give you. But I doubt you'll see a significant power gain.
Tell us what motor it really is, and maybe we can help you find the thing that's your actual limit to performance, where the bgigest bang for the buck will be.

its a 1982 trans am, it had the 4bbl carb on it, but I converted the car to tuned port injection (speed density) ... I have a good flowing exhaust on it, putting a 373 disc rear in it today, serpentine setup, so perhaps underdrive pulleys is a option as well, has a free flowining air intake system, my major concern is the LG-4's low compression 8.5 to 1 and the weak cam, I didnt see the need to replace the cam since I had excellent compression before the TPI swap, I do have a set of rebuilt 416 heads that are a option as well, can this car get into the low 14's

3.73 is too much gear for a TPI motor. It will run completely out of its power band, and not accelerate most of the way down the track. It'll be peppy around town though.
THe heads that are on it should be 416s. You can pick up a little there, with some porting and larger valves. Even with the restrictive TPI intake on it, you can gain some flow with head work.
The LG4 cam is pitiful. Probably the worst cam ever put in a small block Chevy. Definitely room for improvement there.
I doubt you'll get it down to low 14s, mid 14s maybe.
If you haven't done anything to the suspension, you'll probably have a tire spin issue with the 3.73s. That's going to be a real problem getting down the strip. Every tenth that you sit still smoking the tires is a tenth or more added to your ET.
A better torque converter than stock can make a world of difference, once you get the traction issue solved.

mine has a 5 speed in it now, I probably will never have it on a actual track, it's for the most part just a weekend car and for trips to vegas, I know I will suufer quite a bit of MPG's from 273 to 373 but oh well, can't be any worse than the 3 speed automatic, I have 87,000 miles on the car now so that mainly why I was hesitant about changing the cam, however if I can find a nice roller cam 350 then I will get into making it have some power, I just think the 305 is a waste of money trying to get any potential out of, my biggest problem is smog inspections as well, I wish I could take and dump a big block and a nice t-56 in it but california's smog ****'s have me in the gutless land and I'm here to stay LOL
