Why is my car lacking upper end power?

seems to me i should be able to mop the floor up with a 98 6cyl. mustang.

maybe there was a question hidden in there, sorry it got locked. if you lack top end power chack and do all you can to insure you have good air/ fuel supply. lot of cars lay down on top end. also make sure you ignition system is holding up and all your tune up parts are in good shape.

Might check the Cat. converter. I had a top end power problem.
The hotter the car got the less power.
Found the Cat. was almost completely blocked.

 

allright. sounds good.. too bad i have to get a torch to get the cat off..
