Non3rd gen, Durango question...
My friends check engine light came on. How do you break the codes on a Dodge? I understand the principle on a GM, grounding A and B and then reading the flashing check engine light. Can you do this on a Dodge and if so how? Thanks

Rob,
If the EEC is similar to early '90s Nopars, you need to cycle the ignition switch without starting the engine. Turn the ignition key on, then off, then on, off, etc. Do this for five cycles within five seconds, leaving the ignition ON at the last cycle. Count the flashes of the "Service Engine" light for codes, just like on a real car.
I have some codes for some Nopars, if the system still works that way.
