this may sound stupid...sway bar question....

is it possible to mount a rear sway bar on a vehicle with leaf springs.. cause umm i uhh converted my 3rd gen camaro from coils to leaf springs for some weird reason only known to myself so yup this is 3rd gen related

Yes, a 73 Nova (3rd gen Nova)? can be equipped with a rear sway bar.

Go look at a 2nd gen Z28 or TA for an example.

A 3rd gen F body sway bar probably wouldn't work, but it might, depending on whether it clears the center section; it attaches to everything the right way.

lol any idea if the front sway bar from a z28 would fit it? it appears to be the same length but i havnt taken the 1 off my nova to match em up to see because i have a spare iroc front sway bar thats a tad thicker then the sway bar on my nova.. i mean umm... uhh 3rd gen.. oh 4get it lol

The front sway bar from a 67-69 F-body would work (front suspension is the same as 68-74 Nova). My factory 72 Nova rear sway bar uses a unique shock mount plate that extends toward the center of the car for the bar to mount on. The bar also attaches to brackets welded to the floor pan just inboard of the "frame rails". Non-sway-bar-equipped cars do not have those brackets. The floor pan is not strong enough to bolt to (I tried on a 69). Aftermarket may be the way to go here (Addco, etc.)
