possible to make 420+ HP 383

i want to build a 420+ hp motor but i need to do it w/a small block. is it possible to take a 350 or 383 short block bottom end and make 420 hp with it with a cam, heads, and my TPI intake????

No.

However it would be easy with some other induction system.

it's possible to make more power than that with the right combo, however, you can't just slap parts together and expect them to work the best, they need to matched to each other for the best performance. I don't think you'll see that much H.P. using a TPI setup, the way they are tuned limits them to about 4500 RPM max. if you use a mini-ram or super-ram then it's more than possible.

just remember this simple equation H.P. = $$$$$$$.$$

Couldnt have said it better. IMHO i would go carb cuz of the cheapness of the carb induction compared to the Stealthram/superrams.

If you want over 300hp, dump the TPI... its the performance equivalent of asthma

Put on a 4bbl and it will make as much power as you could ever want.
