if i go out and buy a 350 block out of a junked camaro what would i need to do to get abour 400 Hp out of it??????? could i pull this with maybe a different crank to stroke it (383), heads, a cam, then carburate it? ive got a 305 TPI now and i hear the TPI isnt worth much anything

 

TPI can be made to run, but there is a lot of labor and/or $$$ involved to get it flowing at higher RPMs. An LT1 intake and larger injectors would be ideal on a 383 for higher HP. Obviously, torque at lower RPM on the longer stroke engine shouldn't be a problem. A lot of LT1 people run the stock intake on a 383 LT1 and make well over 400 HP.
