Roller rockers for me?
Roller rockers for me?
Since I'm doing the valve stem replacement procedure on my GTA, would it be worth the extra $$$ to get roller rockers? Due to the fact that I need to pass CA emission's every two years, would going to 1.6:1 roller rockers make it harder for me to pass smog-checks in the future? I don't mean the "visual" part of the test, but the actual "chemical" read-outs during the dyno test. Is it a good idea to put 1.6:1 rockers on an otherwise completely stock engine? Would going to 1:5.1 roller rockers be better in my application? If 1.6:1 roller rockers are "the ticket", are there going to be any clearance problems with the centerbolt style valve covers? Also, what about the problems associated with the pushrods pivoting against the cast guide holes in the heads while using 1.6:1 roller rockers? Thanks.
