Oil Pressure sensor - '83 HO/'79 Z28 350

I have a '79 350 out of a Z28 in my '83 Z28. I have heard the oil pressure sensor is either above the oil filter or under the distributor on the block.

Just so i know which to look for (i think mine came unplugged) what does the sensor and the connector look like?

It should be below the distributor. Thats how it is on my '80 400 block, and also on the stock 83 motor. I don't have a picture, but its not very hard to find. Behind the intake, a little to the drivers side of the distributor, you should see what looks like a brass plumbers fitting sticking straight up out of the block. Its about 2.5" tall. Then, screwed into the top of it, at a right angle, you should see a metal cylinder, which kinda looks like a vacuum diaphragm. It should have a 1-blade connector on the end of it. If there is no wire connected to it, look around nearby for a connector thats not plugged into anything. There is only one connector in the whole engine bay which will plug into it, so don't worry about plugging the wrong thing in

Yup, behind the dist.

The wire will be dark blue IIRC, and will have a big round rubber boot thing on the connector, if it's all still original. It should break out of the wire harness right along with the dist wires.
