Code 34....

Someone must have the same problem as me. I have an 87 IROC Z28 with a 305 TPI, 5 speed, removed maf screens, k&n air filters, flowmaster muffler. Quite frequently after a cold start up while i am downshifting to come to a stop, the car will stall out when i depress the clutch to stop... the rpms will slowly drop and then it will die. then the car will flash a code 34 check engine light. Please tell me how to fix this, because i don't like it happening while trying to pull a U TURN and not having any power or power steering!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

87,

Forget the U turns. Keep driving north on 41 until you get to Fond Du Lac. Turn right on 68, then go until you see the Wells Mfg. Co. building. Walk in and beg for a SU-145 MAF, since yours may be toast.

Yea your maf it toast - I had a flakey one that worked some of the time, and other times the car would stall out just in the same manner as yours.

Dont remove the maf screens
