Replacing Fuel Pump... Cant find certain parts...
Ok pulled off driveshaft and torque arm...
pulled of panhard rod and disconnected springs and filler neck support thingy,
pulled out the rear end and shocks and stuff..
Got the tank out and...
Now I see there is a locking type cover on the hole, i got it off and now i see there are many little pieces of crap that need to be replaced... like the little rubber O ring and the sock on the pump, not to mention the little piece of hose from the pump to sender line...
the pump is a TBI pump, im putting in a TPI Walbro pump.
I need to replace these pieces that are worn and old and crappy now, but I cant seem to find them anywhere. My walbro came with a large Oring, some hose clamps, and a piece of fuel line, but no sock and no little fittings for replacing stuffs...
Also on the TPI fuel rail I am remvoving the return line and running my own (14mm -6AN hose, to regulator, to fuel rail) But After taking apart the fuel rails There are a ton of little teeny Orings where it fits together that were total trash... where do i get those?
And I assume the stock TBI fuel lines will support a high pressure TPI pump right? I see high pressure fittings all over so im guessing...
And my biggest concern of all... I DONT EVER WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN so is it a good idea to cut a hole where the Fuel tank mounts to the car so i can just pop the tank cover off from inside the car if this ever happens again? how long do these walbros last anyways?
Thanks as ever sorry for the long post!

the sock can be obtained from any parts store, i got mine from murray's discount auto. i'm not sure what else you'd need that didn't come with the new pump. you will also find that most people will tell you not to cut a hole in your floor. doing so gives fuel vapors a path into the passenger compartment and also increases the chances of a fire getting in, and less importantly it reduces structural rigidity. besides, if you go through the floor you will have to cut three metal lines and then splice them back together, that's "hack" in my book.

try some parts stores, just make sure the new rings are designed to be used with gasoline, regular rubber won't cut it. if they don't have it then try the dealer
