Steam Holes ?
Does drilling steam hole in heads ruin them for other engines without steam holes? I have some Pro Iron Lightning heads and was looking at buiding a 400 SBC. If i drill the holes to run them can i ever use the heads again for a 350 or 383 or something without steam holes?
Thanks

no it doesnt.
the hole will leave a coolent mark on the head gasket, but it has no effect on the engines behavior...
ive swapped heads on and off my 400 a few times...
