check engine...still
check engine...still
I had an earlier post regarding an error
code 32 on a stock 84 305 l69 carbed camaro.
Since the first post I have put new baro
sensor,egr valve,egr solenoid,cleaned egr
port on manifold,new o2 sensor,checked and
replaced vac lines where needed. The car idles
perfectly and runs real strong. The original
problem was it failed emmisions on co being
a little high.I have not had it re-tested
because I hoped to fix the check engine first. The error comes much more frequently
in drive than when in o-drive.Also the choke light flickers abd buzzes frequently.I dont
know where to go from here, any ideas guys.
thanks

hmmm are you sure you checked all the hoses? theres a plastic one that runs inside the loom towards the fire wall into the map sensor i think, that is near the fuse box, as for the choke light, your choke could be faulty on the carb, or your alternator is going.

Thanks for your response.Correct me if I am wrong,I think that sensor is also called a baro sensor?I ran a new hose to it when I
replaced the sensor.I gave up today and
brought it to a garage.I had a hard time
finding a place that is state approved to
emission test and also approved for emission
repair.This state(mass.) is unreal.I was
informed that the specs needed to pass are
intentionally designed to get the old cars
off the road and that a check engine light
was an automatic failure.Side by side comparison showed that specs for my 92 4 cyl
Toyota PU are much looser.

stupid mass, i live in CT, my car passed with no smog **** on it or cat, here's what you do, put a brand new high flow cat on that, spray a tad bit of water in the carb while it's running, and change the o2 sensor, then she should pass
