No RPM signal while cranking
No RPM signal while cranking
I have checked this 100 times. I still can't get a signal to my scan tool to tell me RPM's while I am trying to start my engine. '89 TPI that doesn't start well. I have an OTC Monitor 4000e. When I crank the engine, I get spark to the plugs, and the injectors are firing, according to the NOID light, but the scan tool does not show any RPM until I actually get the engine to crank. I just replaced the ECM. Anyone have any ideas?

The actual rpms while cranking are very low, maybe too low for the scan tool you are using to register.

If I spray a little fuel into my throttle body, the car starts right up. I have 42psi at the regulator while cranking. Almost seems as though the injectors are not putting enough fuel in the engine
. I don't have a cold start injector. Any more ideas?
