General Mod Ideas
I have been thinking a lot about what I would like to do to my car. I have a general idea that I would like to fine tune a little more and actually set up a plan for starting to do some of these things in the future.
This is what I have now:
1991 Camaro RS
T-Tops
Grey Leather Interior
Stock L03 TBI 305
Rebuilt 700R4 /w Ratchet shifter
B&M Shift Kit
What I ask of you people is to take a look at my ideas and let me know what you think and give me a little insight and ideas and some general opinions to help me fine tune my ideas... I am ready for all honesty from all and I would apriciate it. Tell me whats good what sucks, what parts and brands are best to use and so on. I really appriciate it.
This is what I would like to do with the setup I already have.
New Powertrain... LT-1. What mods off that are best for power? Any main instulation problems? I see Edelbrock has new heads specifically for the LT-1.
Should I stick with my 700R4 or go with the 4L60-E?
Subframe connectors. Which ones are the best?
Full 3" Flowmaster Exhaust.
New Rearend. What gear ratio would be the best? A rearend with disc brakes. I cant stand the drumns I have now.
Suspension work. What to keep, what to replace and from who?
Redone interior. 93-02 Grey Leather Z-28 bucket seats.
Body work and a totally new paint job will also come in the future. I am going to stay with the same Jet Black look I already have. The previous owner had a bra on it that rubbed the paint off in the front. I hate bras, I know some of you like them, but WHY? I want the antenna shaved. I would like to have a new windshield with the antenna in that... or where to relocate that? I am gonna stick with my '89 IROC hood. I think smoke GTS head light guards and tail light blockouts would look pretty nice with the color of the car.
A few odds and ends to make it more original. Any other ideas? :hail:

After the exhaust is in and you still have money to play with, start looking for a 3.73 rear axle and you'll be in good shape.
