I bought my car several weeks ago and the lady said that her boyfriend put a 350 in it.
It came stock with a LG4 (1986). How do I tell if it is a 350 or if she was just BSing to sell the car? If it is a 350 how would I tell manufacture and make?

on the drivers side right befor the bellhousing on the motor ther is a casting number, if you can tell me the number i will tell you if it is a 350 or 305

Those look like the numbers on the pass. front of the motor.

If this is the original engine then the last couple of digits will match your last digits on the vin #. (I can't remember how many actually match. )

You need to get the numbers off the drivers side REAR of the block.

Those will tell you what it is.
