No Spark
No Spark
Alright guys, my car has been running rough for awhile. I first changed the MAF because it was destroyed....long story. Now the check engine code is gone, but it still ran rough. I pulled the throttle body and cleaned it, it runs rougher. Pulled the EGR and cleaned it up, even rougher. Yesterday I changed the cap and coild and it won't even start. Is there something I'm missing? I know I should check the module, but will a TPS cause this or what?

modules.. at least in my experience, don't slowly go out. One minute they are working fine, next minute the car doesn't start.
Sounds like whatever you were doing, it wasn't fixing the problem. Have you changed the spark plugs? Adjustment of the TPS could help, but I don't think it would caust a no-start condition.
Although, I shouldn't be talking, i've been running in circles replacing every sensor imaginable only to have my car not start when my CTS and MAT are plugged in. Plus, it will only start when the MAT has a resistor plugged into it so the computer believes that the air intake is 72 degrees.
I have yet to replace my coil and ignition module. The car has been smelling of fumes when I try to start it, so fuel is there.
Anyway.. back to your question... I have no idea :P

if you have a no spark condition working on fuel delivery parts and system won't help it. check/change the module. with dead sensers your engine should start/run even if it's in limp home mode.
it can happen, when you return a part to the store they often send it to mexico/or a place with cheep labor, to have it repaired some times they repair it wrong. this only costs the company 10 or 20 cents. then sell it as new to you. it's very rare but possable.
